Howard Lewis Haught, 95, of Elkwood, VA and formerly of Winchester, VA passed away at his residence Tuesday, March 8, 2015. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio to Thomas E. Haught and Florence King Haught August 10, 1920;served his country in the US Army Air Corp during World War II in the European Theater and was employed as a Professional Engineer. Mr. Haught was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (The Mormons), where he served diligently his entire life. He gave his time and money to all who needed it. His dry sense of humor was a delight to his family and all who talked to him. His hands were constantly busy building, gardening and creating. He will be greatly missed until we meet again.

Surviving Mr. Haught are his three children, Richard Haught and spouse Sue Klein of Aquia, VA, Gloria Haught Rosenthal and spouse Philip Rosenthal of Fairfax Station, VA and Alan Keith Haught and spouse Cathy Haught of La Verkin, UT; 10 grandchildren, Jill Haught Jesinsky of Leesburg, VA, Dennis Haught of Stafford, VA, Lisa Rosenthal of Burke, VA, Jennifer Bolton of Fairfax Station, VA, Allen Rosenthal of Fairfax Station, VA, Matthew Haught of Phoenix, AZ, Mindee Haught of La Verkin, UT, Nickolas Haught of Provo, UT, Lindsay Haught Heaton, of La Verkin, UT and Katie Haught Gordon of Provo, UT, 21 great-grandchildren and many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Madalyn Steele Haught, his parents and siblings Paul Haught, Warren Haught and Rose Haught Calhoun.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home, Culpeper, VA.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Latter-Day Saints, 420 Willow Lawn Drive, Culpeper, VA with interment in the Haught Family Cemetery, Rixeyville, VA.
