Irene Emogene Gray went to be with her heavenly father peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. She touched the lives of so many in her community. Irene was born in Oklahoma City, OK, the oldest of eight girls to Nellie Mae Wood and Tom Garrett Wood. Irene married Jack Lewis Gray in 1946 and together they raised three children, Tommie Duane, Sharon Gayle and Wynona Gwen. Irene was a beautician for many years and a charter member of Hilltop Assembly of God Church where she served as the church secretary and treasurer for many years. She enjoyed working in the yard, quilting, sewing/crocheting and baking. She looked forward to preparing for the church bizarre with her many crafts, peanut brittle and fried pies. Irene is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sharon and James Winters of Harrah, OK and Wynona and Doyle Watts of Little Axe, OK. Five grandchildren, Barron and Mistie Winters of Norman, OK, Shanna Blevins of Little Axe, OK, Jamie Winters of Choctaw, OK, Tony and Crystal Watts of Bethel, OK and Meranda and Douglas Sparks of OKC, OK. She has 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She has six sisters, Dorothy Spencer of Choctaw, OK, Dixie Quinton and Leanna Hoback of Harrah OK, Mary and Lonnie Combs, Nellie and Elbert Crittenden and Jo and Jay Crittenden all of Westville, OK and sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Don Linn of Talequah, OK. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Lewis Gray, her son Tommie Duane Gray, her mother and father and one sister, Ione Martin. Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK and funeral services on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Hilltop Assembly of God Church, 2600 SE 38th Street, OKC, OK. Rev. J.C. Walker will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK.
