It is with great sadness that the family of Irma May Sepowski, of Westbrook announce her passing at her home on August 12, 2017.

She was born January 22, 1927 in New Britain, the daughter of George Arthur Molander and Edna Bagshaw Molander, both deceased. She is the widow of James "Jim" Sepowski, married 52 years. Irma will be sadly missed by her two children Holly Sepowski, and her fiancé (Bob Corson) of Westbrook and her son Jim Sepowski and his wife (Marina) of Castleton NY. Her 3 grandchildren Jonathan of Westbrook and Steven and Sabrina of Castleton NY, her sister in law Pat Sepowski and her husband Ralph Edison and her brother in law Dave Sepowski all of Chester. She is predeceased by her brother George A. Molander III. She has many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews that she truly adored. She attended Holy Advent Episcopal Church in Clinton for 30+ years. She loved dancing since the age of 4 when she started to learn ballet, tap and toe. When she was a teenager she was the President of the Order of the Rainbows, and danced in the New Britain Music Show which raised money for troubled kids. Her love of dance carried throughout her entire life when she taught the senior citizens of Westbrook how to line dance from age 75 to 85. Some of her proudest moments were having two children and learning to roller skate. Even better at the age of 50 she learned to downhill ski and loved her trips to Killington, VT. She taught Sunday school at Holy Advent, was treasurer for the Westbrook Boy Scouts, President of the Westbrook Seniors and a member of the Westbrook Garden Club. Her smile and love for life will always be remembered. She was always thinking of others around her bringing happiness to everyone she met she will shine bright forever.


Calling hours will be held on Tuesday August 15th from 5-8 pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street Clinton. A funeral service will be held in memory of Irma on Wednesday August 16th at 11 am at the Church of Holy Advent 81 East Main Street Clinton. Burial will follow at Cypress Cemetery Westbrook. Memorial Donations may be made in her memory to the Westbrook Public Library.
