Jack C. Miller, 83, of South Bend, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012.

Jack was born October 12, 1928, in LaPorte, Indiana to Alfred and Vivian (Peterson) Miller. He retired from First Source Bank as a building Maintenance Supervisor in 1993, after 20 years of service. Prior to First Source Bank, Jack was employed with the former Bendix Corporation and the Studebaker Car Company.

On April 22, 1950, Jack married Patricia R. Ratajczak who survives. Surviving with his wife of 61 years are daughters, Jacqueline (Randy) Hein of South Bend, Indiana, Vivian Miller of South Bend, Indiana, Michele (Mark) Haluda of South Bend, Indiana; sons, Daniel (Judi) Miller of Walkerton, Indiana, Patrick (Kathy) Miller of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren, Chelsea Blasko-Muse, Carla Blasko, Tiffany Blasko, Michael Blasko, Nique Hein, Megan Carlson, Mary Miller, Sara Nusbaum, Andrew Haluda, Jennifer Soos; great grandchildren, Daveyona Logan, Adam Blasko, Clare Carlson; and brothers, James Miller of LaPorte, Indiana, and Charles (Doris) Miller of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Jack loved gardening and riding horses. His favorite horse was named Scout.

Family and friends may visit from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Words of Remembrance will be at 2:30 p.m.
