Jack Kahler, 88, Colorado City passed away peacefully at the Mitchell County Nursing and Rehab Center with his family by his side.
He was born March 23, 1928 to William and Julia Robertson Kahler in Scurry County.
Jack was known to be a honest, hard-working man, who took pride in knowing that he knew that he didn't owe anybody anything in life. He was a gentleman and a passionate man who loved his family and loved his community and they loved him in return. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, and brother. If somebody needed anything he would be there for them always willing to go the extra mile.
Jack is survived by his children; Jack Kahler Jr. and wife Karen of Spring Branch, Julia Walraven of Colorado City, Tommie Jean Weatherly and husband Bennie of Colorado City, and Johnnie Lee and husband Eddie of Colorado City, by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and by his sister Joan Parker and husband Gene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bessie "Tiny" Kahler, 2 grandchildren Lonnie and Landon Walraven and by one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service for Jack will be held in the Colorado City Cemetery on Thursday, March 23rd at 2 pm with Brother Bill Ward of the Snyder Kingdom Hall speaking.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
