Graveside services for Jack Spiller, 87, of Pollok, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 in the Simpson Cemetery in Pollok.
Mr. Spiller was born February 4, 1930 in Leon County, Texas. He passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in a local nursing facility.
Mr. Spiller worked as a ranch hand for most of his life. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War. Mr. Spiller loved to fish, work cattle, ride horses and was passionate about squirrel hunting. He enjoyed helping his son Daniel at the sawmill and enjoyed the outdoors. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Daniel Adams of Pollok; grandchildren, Tammie and Shawn Elliott of Etoile, Daniel Ray Adams, Jr. and wife Jamie of Wells, and Laura and Fran Compa of Alto; and great-grandchildren, Koty, Trey, Maddison, Katlynn, Gena, Kristin, and Carson.
Mr. Spiller was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Sue; and mother, Lottie Webb.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Gipson Funeral Home.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
