Jacob Ryan Graham, 21, died at 1 p.m. March 9, 2011, at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Ottawa. He was born March 25, 1989, in Lima to Daniel "Joe" and Janice K. Moening Graham, who survive in Gomer. Mr. Graham was a 2007 graduate of Elida High School and was a senior at Bluffton University, where he was studying sports management. He lived for soccer and had played for 12 years at Elida, three of those as a varsity member. While at Bluffton University, he was a four-year starter on the soccer team. He was getting ready to coach soccer for his internship. Although he lived a short life, he was able to do some traveling and had the privilege of going to Maine the help with the youth, of course soccer was on the menu. He took a cross-cultural trip for college to England and Wales in May, and yes, he had to make a stop at a professional soccer field. He was a very giving young man, and as in life, he gave in death by being an organ donor. He will truly be missed by all who knew him, including uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Survivors also include three brothers, Jason Ball, of Lima, Cory King, of Columbus, and Justin Graham, of Gomer; a sister, Jenna Graham, of Gomer; and a niece, Jaylynn Ball. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, James and Donna Stemen Graham; maternal grandparents, Theodore "Ted" and Annette Krider Moening. Services will begin at noon Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Rich Deaton will officiate. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
