Jacqueline Elizabeth Noble was born April 5, 1927 in Hampton, Virginia, the only daughter of Ms. Georgia F. McPherson and Robert H. Fields, Sr.

Jacqueline or "Jackie" attended elementary school in Hampton, Virginia and graduated from Phenix High School in Hampton. She met and married Howard D. Noble, Sr., then a Navy Shipman in Hampton.

She began raising a family and had five children from that union; Howard D. Noble, Jr., Camillia D. Noble, Carl V. Noble, Georgia V. Noble, and Robert H. Noble.

Active in the church, she was a long-time member of Third Baptist Church in Hampton, serving as the Director of the Children's Choir. In that capacity she often thrilled the congregation with her energetic and lively interpretations of musical selections performed by her "little angels".

She was an active co-partner in her family business, "N & N Radio and TV Repair Shop" in Newport News for several years. Years later she served as a supervisor for the Proofing Department, Indiana National Bank, once the family moved to Indiana. Later, she divorced and returned to Hampton Roads. In 2001, she received a 50-year commemorative plaque and ceremony from third Baptist Church, for her long-time service to others. She also served as one of the few city-employed school crossing guards (part-time) for the city of Hampton, earning official commendations for her service.

Ms. Noble spent the later years of her life in Gainesville, Florida, serving as the Choir Director for the Angelic Choir at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She filled in for the Director of the adult and mass choir as needed. She also often played piano for residents at the Pine Grove Senior Apartments.

In spite of her soft and melodic voice, she was feisty and would not let anyone take advantage of her.

Jacqueline E. Noble went to be home with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the age of 90. She is already missed. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert H. Fields; step-father, Paul L. McPherson; mother, Georgia F. McPherson; brother, Robert T. Fields; daughter, Camilla D. Noble; son, Carl V. Noble; and daughter, Georgia V. Noble.

Noble, Ph.D.; grandsons, Terrence Noble (Kimberly), Marc Black (Katie), Capt. Jason D. Noble, USMC (Airi), and Robert T. Baker; along with many grand nieces and nephews.
