Jacqueline Wellman Stewart, died Tuesday April 4, 2017 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville, N.C.

Jacqueline was born July 13, 1935 in Portland, Maine to the late Archibald and Jannette Cochran. Jacqueline graduated High School at the age of 18 in Portland Maine.

Jacqueline's favored profession was bookkeeping for her whole life and she loved her work. She retired after many years from The State of North Carolina and so enjoyed her retirement. Jacqueline had a passion for cooking and baking and excelled at it. Gardening was her favorite outdoor activity. Jacqueline and her beloved husband Harvey traveled extensively through out the entire U.S.A. Jacqueline loved camping, water skiing, swimming and being out doors in her younger years. Her favorite camping spot being Sebago Lake State Park in Naples Maine.

Jacqueline so loved animals and strongly contributed to their welfare through the A.S.P.C. She so loved family gatherings and showed her unconditional love for her family through her cooking and in many other ways daily as well.

Jacqueline is survived by her loving and devoted husband Harvey E. Stewart Sr. who was the love of her life. Survivors also include 4 children, Sandra Clark (Thomas), Harvey E. Stewart Jr. (Alma), Jennifer L Hixon (Chip) and daughter-in law Barbara Stewart who she considered as her own daughter. She is predeceased by her daughter Cindy Wright and two sons Kenny Wellman and Steven C. Stewart along with her special cousin Donald Lambert.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Jason Clark, James Ray, Heather Ray, Porchia Rudanovic, Joseph Wright, Steven Stewart, Savannah Stewart, Deanne Trost, Christopher Emerick, Harvey Stewart lll, and Maggie Stewart. She is also survived by six great grand children as well as two twin grandchildren who are on the way.

She is also survived by nephews Philip Hazel (who she so loved and treated like her own son} Richard Hazel, Thomas Hazel. Francais Cousins, David Cousins, and Robert Cousins. She also has nieces Kathy Welch, Sheryl Deroche, Karen Clark, and her special cousin Carolyn Lydon.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Reeves Funeral Home Chapel, N. Main Street Hope Mill, N.C. 28348. Visiting hours begin at 2:00 P.M.
