James Anthony Macagno was born December 27, 1945 in Roslyn, Washington to his parents James and Josephine (Peretti) Macagno. He passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, in his home in Roslyn, Washington. James spent his early childhood in Roslyn where he attended Elementary and Middle School. He then attended and graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1964. He received his post secondary education at Central Washington State College in Ellensburg, Washington where he graduated with his Bachelor's Degree.

James joined the United States Army in 1967 and served honorably in the Viet Nam War. After his discharge from the Army, James joined the staff at the Safeway Store in Cle Elum. He also worked for several years for Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA, and the United States Forest Service. Until his death, he was employed in the Security Department at Sun Cadia.

James was always involved in his community and his church. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Roslyn, WA where he served faithfully. He was a member and/or officer in several organizations and was an active member of the communities of Roslyn and Cle Elum.

James is survived by his one sister, Lucy Frances Macagno of Yakima, WA, and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Josephine Macagno, his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

James will be missed greatly by his family and friends. He lived a good and honorable life and we are assured that he is now resting peacefully with family and friends who have gone on before him.

A time of visitation will be from 4-6 pm, Friday, September 27, 2013 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home followed by a Vigil Service from 6-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Parish, 211 N. B Street, Roslyn, WA.
