James Burton "J.B." Reynolds, 77, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his residence. He was the devoted husband of Barbara Miear Reynolds for forty-nine years.
Born October 16, 1940 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Earnest Burton Reynolds and Madeline Foster Reynolds and was also preceded in death by his brother, Horace Reynolds. He was the retired owner & operator of Campbell Avenue Exxon and also worked in several garment factories in Lynchburg. Anyone who knew J.B., knows he was a devoted U.V.A. fan. He was a member of Tree of Life Ministries.
In addition to his wife, J.B. is survived by six children, Teresa R. Hudak (Mike) of Lynchburg, Rose R. Reneau (Chris) of Hawaii, Rebecca R. Creasy (Ricky), Tina R. Foutty (Bobby), Michelle R. Tucker (Tommy), and James B. Reynolds, Jr. (Jennifer), all of Lynchburg; one brother, Terry Reynolds (Mariea) of Forest; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Tree of Life Cemetery in Altavista with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the residence.
