James "Franklin" Plaster, Jr., of Hico, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2018 in Meridian, Texas.
He will always be remembered as a loving father and supporting friend to all who knew and loved him.

He was born on March 22, 1924 in Fort Worth, Texas to James F. Plaster, Sr. and Mary Eunice (Kingston) Plaster. Franklin was a WWII Navy Veteran, a 60+ year member of the Masonic Lodge and an avid supporter of the Hico, Texas VFW. Franklin retired from the Rock Island Railroad after a 37-year career as a Machinist. His first loves beyond his family were hunting and fishing avidly participating in both for all his life.
Franklin is survived by sons, Larry Plaster of Prescott, AZ and Rex Plaster of Keller, TX; Sister, Margaret Beck of Austin, TX, 5 grandchildren Brian, Chad, Miranda and Melissa Plaster and Trent Anders, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Holder) Plaster, his son Scotty Plaster, and his special friend Veda Vosburg.

The visitation will be held from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. on January 26 at the Bluebonnet Hills funeral home in Colleyville, Texas.

The Graveside Service will be held at 2:15 p.m. on January 26 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park with a reception to follow in the Bluebonnet Reception Room.
