On September 5, 2017, the Gates of Heaven were graced with a man who loved life. James, better known as Rock to many, was born September 16, 1956 and grew up primarily around Shreveport, LA…with extended stays in Conway, Truxno, and surrounding areas.
His taste for life was evident as he chased his career and dreams from Shreveport to New Orleans to Nashville, TN to Murray, KY to Stuttgart, AR to back home to Shreveport with several other stops in between. His final quest was as a Plant Manager at Honeywell, where he spent his final hours before passing from an apparent heart attack.
Never meeting a stranger, or at least not a stranger for long, he had friends everywhere he went. His love of family was no different. He was the uncle that all the nieces and nephews loved to see coming. From childhood friends to ones he just made, he left a mark on this world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Lemoine and Inez Lemoine Till; two brothers, Carroll Lemoine and Clyde Redl; and nephew, Chris Boudreau.
He left behind his son, Maison Lemoine, and daughter-in-law, Kate, of Denver, Colorado; two brothers, Carl Lemoine & wife, Karen, of Marion, LA, and Wayne Lemoine of Waskom, TX; two sisters, Cathline Boudreau of Shreveport, LA and Jo Ann Hagan & husband, Ronnie, of Leesville, LA; and a slew of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The pallbearers honored with carrying him to his final resting place will be Carl Lemoine, Wayne Lemoine, Robert Lemoine, Jacob Lemoine, T.W. Lemoine, and Nathan Futch.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Meridian Baptist Church and Friday, September 8, 2017 from 9:00 AM until time of service. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Meridian Baptist Church with Bro. Glyn Nale officiating. Burial will be in Conway Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
