James Lee Ord, 62, of Swansea, Illinois, born, February 25, 1955, in Belleville, Illinois passed away, January 20, 2018, in Belleville, Illinois.

James graduated from Belleville Township High School East in 1973. Seven years later, he met the love of his life, Debra Foreman. The two were married on April 25, 1981, and welcomed their only son Joshua into this world on July 7, 1983. While his profession was as a Medical Administrator in the Civil Service, Jim's true passion was for his family, often partaking in numerous whimsical adventures at the urging of his wife and son. He supported his wife and son, often being their personal cheerleader and photographer. You could always pick Jim out in a crowd focusing his camera lens on his two favorite subjects, Debbie and Josh. Jim loved to travel, learning about the local history and culture, regularly citing facts about each destination which left you wondering, "How does he know that?" During his downtime, Jim liked to educate himself on everything from antique cars, to U.S. and World History and would share his knowledge with anyone willing to listen. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert M. and Gladys L. (nee Winker) Ord.

Surviving him are his loving wife; Debra K. Ord, of Swansea, IL; his son, Joshua (Ashley Simpson) Ord, of Saint Louis, MO; his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Ord, Karen (Steven) Britton, Diane (Roy) Eyers, Craig (Jennifer) Ord, Kevin (Jocelyn) Ord and David (Kanna) Ord; his father and mother in law, Walter and Phyllis Foreman; his brother and sisters in law, Sandra Cleland, Linda (James) Collins, Walter (Theresa) Foreman and Diana Foreman, and a number of dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorials are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
