James C. McGee, known as Jimmy or JC, of Fredericksburg City passed away naturally in his sleep Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 after a long battle with pulmonary illness. He was 60 years old. Born in Spotsylvania, JC was a loving father, son and brother. After he graduated high school JC pursued a career as an Electrician for many years. JC's pride and joy was his daughter, Mandy. He would eventually come to volunteer for the organization as a kitchen assistant, getting to prepare the food every morning and serve the guests coming into the center each day. Even though he did not have much, he was able to help send 3 kids to summer camp as well as anonymously sponsor a child through the agency so that he could send the child Christmas presents.

JC is survived by his daughter Mandy McGee of Seattle, Washington. He He also leaves his father, James F. McGee and his wife, Aurie McGee; his sisters, Jewel Myers of Spotsylvania, Sharon Kugler of Stafford, Marcella Sullivan of Fredericksburg and a brother, George McGee of King George.
