James was born on December 24, 1941 and passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

James was a resident of Auburn Township, Ohio at the time of passing.

Jim proudly served his country for 3 years in the U.S. Army and proceeded to spend the next 47 years of his life in public service doing what he loved, protecting and serving the people.

December 24, 1941 - February 21, 2018 U.S. Veteran Visitation, Saturday, February 24, 2 - 4 P.M. and Sunday, February 25, 2 - 6 P.M. Memorial Service, Monday, February 26 at 2 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church Private burial service will be held at a later date "The Chief" James Phillip Jimison, of Auburn Township, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 just after midnight in his home. Friends received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 16381 CHILLICOTHE RD. (RT. 306), CHAGRIN FALLS, 44023 (2.5 MILES NORTH OF RT. 422), SATURDAY 2 - 4 P.M. AND SUNDAY 2 - 6 P.M. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 26th at 2 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church in Chagrin Falls. A private burial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Geauga County Blue Coats, Inc. or the Geauga Humane Society's Rescue Village.
