James R. Maikoetter, 22, of Port Lavaca, took his place in heaven with God on May 1, 2017. He was born in Victoria, Texas November 29, 1994 to Roxanne Maikoetter.
James married Haley See of Seadrift on March 21st, 2016 and together had a daughter, Paislee James. He worked as an Operator for D & B Flowback & Well Testing.
James, affectionately known as "Cowboy," loved to hunt, camp, and fish. He learned to do most of this and much more at his great grandpa's ranch in Fannin. He called it the "country". He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
James is survived by his wife, Haley, daughter, Paislee, and stepson, Tanner Cheatham all of Port Lavaca. In addition he is survived by his mother, Roxanne, father, Charles M. Dowell Jr. (Carolina), brother Jaxon Maikoetter and half-sister, Emma Dowell, maternal grandparents, James E. and Dottye Maikoetter, and paternal grandparents, Charles M. Dowell Sr. and Susan Dowell, and numerous aunts and uncles.
