Jane "Betty" Elizabeth Pulver passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2015 at 92 years old. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert "Bob" Clifford Pulver. She is survived by her brother, Bob Ridley and his wife Bonnie of Venice, FL and their children, her son, Daniel and his wife Mary Eleanor of Rocky Mount, NC and her daughter, Joanne and her husband, Richard Peterson of Mt Airy, MD. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.



She was born in Newark, NY to Russell and Marian Ridley. Her number one passion was her family. After becoming a mother, she gave up her nursing career to raise her children. She enjoyed many passions such as sewing, camping and traveling with her family which started her interest in visiting and collecting lighthouses. She was a strong Christian pillar in the Lord through her faith and example in her life to her children and grandchildren. Both she and her husband were active members of the Christian Motorcycle Association where they both guided and mentored those in need. After moving to Rocky Mount, she became a member of the First United Methodist Church where she expanded her church family. She was truly was a beacon of light to those around her.



A memorial service will be held 11 AM, July 9, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount, NC with the family receiving friends 10 AM until service time at the church. The internment will be at Sand Hills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC Friday July 10, 2015 at 2 PM.. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church Handicap accessible Ramp or to Community Home Care and Hospice of Rocky Mount, NC.
