Janilou (Harrell) Konopinski, 94, was welcomed to her Heavenly home on September 24, 2017. Janilou was born on February 2, 1923 in Stratford, OK to William Asa and Sadie (Ledford) Harrell.
Janilou was a remarkable woman of our nation's Greatest Generation. During WWII, Janilou worked as a riveter at McDonnell Douglas assembly line for over 3 years. She made a tremendous impact on America winning the war. On March 2, 1943, she married her sweetheart Stani Konopinski and the two shared a lifetime of happiness until his passing on September 24, 2001. Together they had two children, Stanley and Deborah.

Janilou was passionately involved in her church, teaching Sunday school for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, camping. solving word search puzzles, quilting and gardening. She was known best for her kindness, her unconditional love for the Lord and her family.

Janilou is reunited with her parents, her husband Stani Konopinski, 2 brothers, and a sister. She is survived by her children, Stanley K. Konopinski and wife Sherry P., Deborah K. Laukat and husband David; grandchildren, Melissa Moore and husband James, Jennifer Warlick, William Laukat and wife Susan, Jeffrey Konopinski and wife Amanda, Michelle Gibson and husband Jason; nine great grandchildren, one great great-granddaughter, and a host of relatives and friends.
