Lubbock - Jean Garrison, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed from this life Sunday, November 12th, 2017. She was born December 3rd, 1926 in Plainview, Texas to Sterling Wilburn and Iva Mae (Sharp) Reynolds. Jean married William Joe Garrison of Lubbock on December 22nd, 1946.

Together, Joe and Jean owned and operated Pan-Tex Plywood and Hardwood Lumber Company from October, 1954 until their retirement in 1992. The primary focus in Jean's life was family. Nothing was more meaningful than spending time with loved ones. Whether it was gathering to share a meal together, a camping trip, or shopping with her daughter in-laws, it was all about spending time with family. Jean also enjoyed gardening, card games of any type, spending time at the family lake house, and an occasional getaway to Las Vegas. She especially loved the time spent with her three grandsons. They brought an abundance of joy to her.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Joe, who died April 25th, 2011; her parents, Sterling and Iva Mae Reynolds; and sister, Lila Heath.

Those left to cherish Jean's memories are two sons, Greg Garrison and wife Cecilia of Lubbock, Mark and wife Marlene of Lubbock; three grandsons: Brian Garrison and wife Autumn of Dallas, Scott Garrison and wife Kristen of Lubbock, and Brendan Garrison of Lubbock. In addition, our special family member of 61 years, Bertha Tates, whose special love and care meant so much to Jean.

The family wishes to offer special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Richard Henderson, MD, Rita Mitchell, FNP, and the caring staff at Legacy at South Plains.

In keeping with Jean's wishes, a private ceremony will be held.

The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Lubbock, The Salvation Army, or an organization of your choice. Please visit www.resthavenfuneralhome.com for online tributes.
