JEAN R. LARKINS, 80 BELOVED MOTHER Jean Roberta Larkins, 80, of Springfield and most recently Newtown Square, beloved mother, died April 18 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. She was born and raised in Collingdale, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Christine Mongeluzzi Roberta; the devoted sister of Albert J. Roberta of Broomall (wife Cheryl), Christine Germano of Kennett Square, and Nancy J. Wilson (husband William), of Newtown Square. A proud graduate of Collingdale High School class of 1948, she rarely missed a reunion and cherished these classmates and friends (and the opportunity to jitterbug). From her early teens, she held several jobs, including one at a bubble gum factory and as a model, until she established a career at Clifton Precision in Clifton Heights, as an executive secretary. It was there that she met her husband, the late Harold T "Tom" Larkins, who gave her many rides home, as she never learned to drive. They were married in 1960 until the time of his death in August, 2002. The Larkins family settled in Springfield, where they were among the early parishioners of St. Kevin Church. Mrs. Larkins was a beloved and active school volunteer there for many years, where she is remembered by St. Kevin alumni of the 1970's for her charismatic and exuberant personality. She was also involved in other civic activities and a local sorority. But it was in the day to day role of "mom" that she devoted herself tirelessly and completely. Survivors: son Thomas F. (wife Patti) of Madison, NJ; daughters, Roberta "Robin" of Gulph Mills and Hastings, NY, and Deborah Damiano (husband John Jr.) of Springfield. She had one godson, her nephew Craig Ryan of West Chester, and was the beloved aunt of: Richard Germano of Media, Christine Wilson Corbo of Avalon, NJ, Mark Germano of Massachusetts, and Paul Roberta of West Chester. There are seven great nieces and nephews. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10:15 a.m. Thursday, D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Kevin Church, 200 West Sproul Road, Springfield. Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. Memorial gifts and donations can be made to Cabrini Mission Foundation, 222 East 19th Street, New York, NY 10003.
