Jeanette Rosalie Meller was born March 26, 1935, near Lakin, Kansas, and grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. She graduated from Darrouzett High School as Valedictorian. She attended Panhandle A&M College, Goodwell, Oklahoma, and fell in love with Archie Reynolds. The couple married in Darrouzett in 1955. They attended and worked at West Texas State College in Canyon. They moved to Perryton in 1959, where Jeanette taught Sunday school at First Baptist Church, and Archie continued working for the Texas Highway Department. In 1976, the family returned to Canyon where Archie had been transferred, and became active in First Baptist Church.

They had three children, Denise, Cheryl, and Bradley, and were married for 35 years. After retirement, they bought a farm in Clarendon, Texas. Upon Archie's sudden death in January 1991, Jeanette stayed on the farm for about 2 years and then moved into Clarendon. A few years later, she was introduced to Tom Stephens. They were married for 14 years before Tom passed away in 2009.

Jeanette enjoyed cooking and baking, making delicious cherry and chocolate cream pies, perfect chocolate chip cookies, and a great German chocolate cake! She also canned fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden. Jeanette spent time sewing matching holiday clothing for her children as well as detailed doll clothes.

She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church in Amarillo. Jeanette will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her husbands Archie Reynolds and Tom Stephens, her parents Henry Meller and Emilie {Miller} Meller Schoenhals, her brother Harold Meller, and sisters Dorothy Mae Meller and Dorothy Ann (Meller) Phelps.

She is survived by her children Denise Ahern and husband John, Cheryl Roy and husband David Peter, Bradley Reynolds, Debbie McKenzie and husband Harry, Mike Stephens and wife Jacque, Tommy Stephens and wife Sheri, and Sheila Worsham and husband Donny.
