Jeffrey (Jeff) O. Baucom, 61, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully, December 8, 2017. He leaves behind his wife, Joan Guentner-Baucom of Tampa, his daughter Marybeth Fuentes, her husband, Josh, and their sons Korben and Keegan of Brandon, FL.; his daughter Penny Bahtijari, her husband, Ross and their son Armin of Kansas City, MO.; his stepson Tom Kyte, his wife Krista and their children, Thomas, Liam and Emily of Thonotosassa, FL.; his brother Steven Baucom, his partner, Bill Dams, of New Bern, NC and numerous cousins and friends across the country.

Jeff grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. After college, Jeff moved to Michigan for a job and later moved to Tampa/Brandon area, Florida, where he has made his home for the past 33 years. Jeff had an outstanding career in Information Technology at Tampa Electric Company, MicroStrategy, Bank of America, CCG and Hillsborough County Sheriff's office.

Jeff is a huge Kansas Jayhawks basketball fan! (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) Jeff was a skilled woodturner and created many special pieces. Jeff and Joan loved the theater and were season ticket holders at the Straz Center for Performing Arts. Jeff and Joan loved to go skiing out West. Jeff's favorite holiday was Christmas and was known in the neighborhood for his creative, homemade and beautiful synchronized holiday light and music shows. Jeff also had a fascination with Legos and enjoyed building scenes and models from the many, many Lego kits that he owned.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie (Heins) and father Harry Watts, of Kansas City, Missouri; and his maternal grandparents Laura and Otto Heins of Sweet Springs, Missouri.
