Jennie Lee Long, known to many as "MaMa", passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the age of 85, in Houston. Jennie was a native Texan, born March 1, 1932.
She was able to light up a room whenever she walked in. Her bright smile and bubbly personality made everyone smile. She loved cooking for her family more than anything. Whether it was a dinner at home or a big Holiday meal, she made sure everyone had plenty to eat. She was known for making the most beautiful and most delicious cakes around. She was the youngest of 11 and truly valued spending time with her family. She loved to fish and be anywhere near the water. Jennie was a member of the Ladies of the Sacred Heart Society of West Little York and spent many years volunteering her time making cookies and cakes for the St. Joseph Table. She spent many Thursdays with the Society ladies enjoying an Italian pasta lunch. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
