Jer Bear grew up on North Bass Island until he was 10 years old. He attended the one room school house on the island until he finished the 4th grade. Jeremy was an avid sports fan. He especially followed the University of Michigan - GO BLUE!!!!!! He enjoyed playing basketball, playing baseball for" Mr. Ed's" ball team, working out and ice fishing. He was a 1996 graduate of Put in Bay High School and attended Tiffin University; according to his dad, he was only 3 credits short of graduation. He was a Bartender for Mr. Ed's Bar on Put in Bay. He worked his way up from "Bar Back" at age 18 to Bartender. He is survived by his parents Richard "Ricky" and Deborah "Debbie" (nee:Zura ) Harlan of Put in Bay, grandmother Jean (nee: Leach) Harlan of New London, OH, and loving companion Heather Findley of Port Clinton. His grandparents John and Geraldine (nee: Wolf) Zura and grandfather Robert E. Harlan are deceased.

The boat to go to North Bass Island will leave the dowtown Miller Dock at noon. We ask that you leave your cars at the Niagara Conference Center and take the bus. There is limited space, and Island Transportation will be shuttling people both ways.

The Miller Boat Line will be running extra boats on Wednesday. Please check their website at www.millerferry.com or facebook at miller ferry.
