Jerrlyn Sue Chastain Stoll, 74, of Hanahan, SC, wife of Albert M. Stoll, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 18, 2022. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Northwoods Chapel. Interment will be at Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.

Jerrlyn was born April 10, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN, daughter of Gerald Chastain and Fluella Beatrice Neild Chastain.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Albert M. Stoll of Hanahan, SC; two daughters, Janice Simpson (Robert) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Jamie Hartman (Stephen) of N. Charleston, SC; brother, Glenn Chastain of AL; four grandchildren: Jessica Hartman, Craton Simpson (Jenna), Hannah Simpson and Madeline Hartman.

Jerri was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Being a navy wife, she burdened a lot of the load of maintaining a home and raising two exceptional daughters. Moving from duty station to duty station was as much an adventure, as a challenge. Along the way she developed friendships that lasted her lifetime. She was as much a submariner as her loving husband, Albert.

To those that knew her, Jerri was a force of nature. She was driven, tenacious, and could accomplish almost anything that she put her mind to. She was an entrepreneur, starting a successful cleaning business. She had a passion to make things better and improve the human condition. Over the last few years, she thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at a local soup kitchen. Jerri always strived to improve herself both physically and spiritually. Her faith was very important to her and growth in her faith was paramount.

She ensured that the Stoll house was always a home; not only to her family but to friends, whenever they would visit. You were welcome to stay, as long as you wanted. Along the way, she was known to take in countless strays, both people and animals. Jerri always amazed everyone with her ability to whip up a gourmet meal from, well, whatever food was on hand. Cooking was something she loved to do. Bocky's famous mac and cheese will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Jerri, now the time has come to say goodbye. Here's to the love, fun, laughter, and life events that we have shared over the years with our true and always loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. We will always love you and miss you.
