McCORMICK, Jerry Michael, age 62, of Spring Valley, OH passed away on March 11, 2012. Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Shawnee High School in Lima, OH, and was also a 1971 graduate of Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH. He was co-owner of Grismer Auto Service Center for 24 years. Jerry was a loving, happy family man who loved traveling, boating, and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy; sisters, Janice and Judith; father-in-law, Ralph Staat; and fur children, Bernie, Bo, and Buddy. Jerry is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 23 years, Bev; children, Mark (Shelley) Unocic, Matthew (Heather) McCormick, James (Erica) McCormick, Kimberly (Richard) Goins, and John McCormick; grandchildren, Katie, J.R., Emma, Travis, Ellie, Austin, Eve, Ryan, Chase, and Brady; brothers, Jack (Jan) McCormick and James (Linda) McCormick; mother-in-law, Jean Staat; brother-in-law, Paul Rhine; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 east Stroop Road, Kettering. A memorial service will be held following the visitation at 8:00pm also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Jerry's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
