Jo Etta Smith Perry, age 72, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was born May 1, 1946 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a daughter of Learoy Smith and Hazel McDaniel Smith. She retired from Virco Manufacturing Corporation and was a member of St. Paul AME Church in Morrilton.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Tracy) Canady of Morrilton; son, Darryl Perry of Russellville; siblings, James (Laverne) Smith of Michigan, Toby Jennings of Atlanta, Georgia, Mabel Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Caroline Smith of Texas, Joyce Smith of Morrilton, Connie Smith of Morrilton, Michael Smith of Atlanta, Georgia, Donnie Wayne Smith of Little Rock, and Veronique (Billy Jo) Evans of Springfield, Arkansas; grandchildren, Eric Williamson of Russellville, MacKenzie (Kyza) Williamson of California, Brittany Houser of Russellville, Christopher Cox of Russellville, Ceala Cox of Russellville, Atarra Canady of Morrilton, Dawnisha Canady of Conway, and Nylah Canady of Morrilton; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqulyn Smith.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 with Rev. Bettie Tolefore and Rev. Leonard Shepherd officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
