Joan D. Fuller, 79, of Andover, died peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born in Hartford, CT, on November 13, 1938 daughter of the late Ralza and Alma (Prebor) Fuller. Joan was a graduate of Weaver High School. A resident of Andover for over 45 years, she worked for the State of Connecticut in DMR and retired in 2000 after over 20 years of service. Joan lived life to it’s fullest and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and drawing. She was a member of the NRA, enjoyed motorcycles and at age 72 went skydiving. She was a kind, caring, compassionate woman who will be dearly missed. She leaves her children, Kimberly Olk and her husband Ronald of Vernon, Sherry Michaud of Andover, and Timothy Landry of Ashford; her grandchildren, Aaron Olk, Naomi Kuhne and her husband Jared, and Luke Olk; her great grandson, Leo; her sister, Janet Bosley of Enfield; and five nieces. She was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Chambers. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, from 5-7 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Mountain of Worship, P.O.
