Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, Arthur was assigned to Kessler Airforce Base Biloxi, MS. After completion of the office course in radar electronics, he applied for instructor and was accepted. He finished his active duty in this capacity.
His family moved back to Texas and Arthur went to work for Moncrief-Lenoir Manufacturing. He worked in sales and marketing, advancing to Vice President in the company.
In 1970, Arthur married Susan Gloger. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage and he lived out his final years on their ranch in Flatonia, TX.
Arthur was a member of the Tejas Vaqueros since 1971 and was active in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for over 60 years. He served as a Vice President from 1988-1990 and loved to tell stories of the "good ole days".
He is survived by his wife Susan; three sons; brother Stephen; grandchildren Alexandra, William, Jason, Colt and Travis; and his Great Grandkids Junah, Conrad, and Mac Arthur that made him a beloved Paw Paw. In addition, he leaves behind numerous family members and dear friends who mourn his passing.
