John "Johnny" Kenneth Ham, 72, of Agoura Hills, CA passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 after the devastation of Parkinson's Disease.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Leslie LaMantain Ham, his three daughters, Tina (Greg) Ekman, Julie (Christian) Torresluna, and Amanda (Luis) Barrios. He also leaves nine grandchildren, his sisters Donna Schlosser and Sandra Kay Overpack and, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Johnny was born in Springfield, IL on February 28, 1945 to the late Kenneth L. and the late Velma M. Ham. At 2 years of age he moved to California. In his young years is when he began his love of photography, camping and playing the guitar. He graduated from Reseda High School in 1963.

Johnny is a veteran of the United States Navy. He served 4 years (1965-1969) as a ETR3. He earned many medals for his service which included two tours in Vietnam. His service educated and prepared him for his longtime career in engineering.

Johnny and Leslie were married in January 1970, they loved to camp, first alone and then with their girls. He loved to photograph all the beaches and National Parks where they vacationed.

He worked as an Electronic Engineer for 45 years. He was at Data Products for 35 years and retired from Zebra Technologies after 10 years as a Design Engineer. He was a very dedicated employee and was a brilliant man who had many patents.

Johnny gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1977. He served as a college leader, a sound man, usher and high school choir leader. He was a faithful member at both Simi First Baptist from 1977 to early 1988 and Agoura Bible Fellowship from mid-1988 until his death.

He loved worshiping at his church and everything technology related. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and going to the shooting range. His dog was his best friend. Scully was named after his favorite announcer, Vin Scully of the Los Angeles Dodgers. He cheered for them at home and across the country at many stadiums.

The "Celebration of Life" service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 29th at Agoura Bible Fellowship, 5564 Foothill Drive; Agoura Hills, California. Reception immediately following in The WELL. Please dress in casual clothes, jeans and a t-shirt; Dodger t-shirts welcomed.
