JOHN LOOS John Leonard Loos, 89, former resident of 122 Shannon Street, widower of Lucile Grissom Loos, died March 11, 2012 at Morningside of Greenwood Assistant Living. Born in Inwood, NY, August 2, 1922, he was a son of the late John L, Sr. and Mary Salkeld Loos. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and was retired from New York Telephone Company in Setauket, NY. Formerly of North Bellmore, NY, he had been a resident of Greenwood since September 2007. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving are two sons, Gene and wife Mary Ann Loos of Greenwood and Greg Loos of Alexandria, VA; three grandchildren, Tal Loos, Amanda L. Stewart and Sabine Loos; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Debby Plumstead-Marshall officiating. Inurnment will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park. The family is at the home of Gene and Mary Ann Loos, 122 Shannon Street, and will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caris Healthcare, 129 Straight Drive, Anderson, SC 29621.
