John Micheal Baker, 23, was tragically taken from his family by a drunk driver on July 9, 2016. He was born on March 19, 1993 to Kimberly Wells and Micheal Baker in Dallas, TX.

John enjoyed scuba diving and anything else that his own dad did, but his passion was bull riding. He was a member of the Miniature Bull Riders Association as a youth and continued his passion as he grew older. He also enjoyed welding and had just begun his own welding business with plans for a profitable future. John was very loved by his family and friends and he enjoyed keeping everybody busy and “on their toes”. He always took the time to listen to you and lend a helping hand if needed, everyone loved being around him. John’s greatest pleasure was his family and he was an awesome dad to his son and was happily anticipating the arrival of his daughter in the next few weeks. He was a Christian by faith and was a member of the Rafter J Cowboy Church.

Preceding him in death are his grandmother Billy Watson, uncle Leon Smirl, uncle Larry Baker and aunt Irene Watson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elizabeth Key; son Jayden Baker; expected daughter Jessalyn Baker; mother Kim Wells; father Micheal Baker and wife, Angela; siblings: Christian Baker, Taylor Laster, April Baker, Ray Rannigan and husband, Toby, Brandon Watson, Everett Stevens, Belinda Stevens and husband, Gary, Ethan Corson, Shane Kolmer and Stephanie Kolmer; grandparents: Galen Nettland and fiancée Martina; Dana Baker, Alice Nettland, Steve Baker and Theresa Trent; great grandmother Edith Baker; aunts and uncles: Gary Baker, James Gilmore, Pattie Hillburn, Judy Baker, Christy Judd, Reba Baker, Tabitha Owens and Kelly Greenwood; and many extended family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
