John Thomas Harrison, Sr. Carpenter John Thomas Harrison, Sr. of Amissville, Va died on February 27, 2006 at Fauquier Hospital. He was a member of Amissville United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was born on May 27, 1923 in Fairfax County, Virginia to the late James Hillary and Ruth Harrison. He is survived by his wife of forty years Betty J. Harrison of Viewtown, VA, daughters, Helen and her late husband Don Berry of Castleton, VA, Martha and her husband George Kidwell of Amissville, VA, Dorothy and her husband Greg Spaid of Winchester, VA and Connie and her husband Mike Thomas of Castleton, VA, sons, Tommy and his wife Sheila Walter of Amissville, VA, Ronnie and his wife Sue Walter of Chester Gap, VA and John T. Jr. and his wife Terri Harrison of Amissville, VA. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grand children. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 7 to 9pm at Moser Funeral Home Warrenton, VA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 2pm at Amissville United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Harrison, Bobby Bowers, Donnie and Tommy Berry, Jane Jackson, Sherri Nicholas, Thomas Walter III, Ronald Walter and Jeremy Diley. Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Frits, Doug Frits, Joe Reinboldt, Roger Newcamp, Missy Chambers, Heddy Paul and Rusty Bowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amissville United Methodist Church Building Fund P. O. 108 Amissville, VA 20106.
