Mr. Johnny Lee Swink, 77, of Statesville, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Johnny was born October 14, 1944 in Burke County to the late John and Bertha Swink. He served honorably in the United States Army and proudly served and loved his country.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Johnny was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife Faye Cook Swink; sons, Eric Swink, Scott Swink, and Jeff Swink; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara "Maxine" Randall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese with Rev. Marvin Wiley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County at 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
