I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” II Timothy 4:6-7 Mr. Johnny Levi Frierson was born on October 10, 1944 in Coward, South Carolina. He was the fourth of fourteen children born to Jessie and Arether Echles Frison. On Monday, January 29, 2018, God called Johnny Levi Frierson home. Johnny was educated in the Florence County School system and was a graduate of Carver High School in Lake City, SC. Johnny worked as a welder for Vulcraft for 28 years. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, was baptized as a member of the Savannah Grove Freewill Baptist Church, serving for many years as a Trustee. Johnny loved to sing and was known for his tenor voice. He and his brothers were members of the gospel group known as The Brothers Four. Johnny was a person who never met a stranger. He loved to make people laugh and to make them smile. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Reverend J. P. Frison and Reverend Marvin Frierson. Johnny leaves to cherish his legacy of love: Brenda, his wife of 42 years; children, Miranda (Shaun) Dunmore of Irmo, SC; Shantell (Marta) of Jacksonville, AR, and Leverne-Terrance (Bisioye) of Waldorf, MD; grand-children, Mercedes, Milani, Shatari, Shamar, Micaela, Shamya, Ife, and Femi; one great grand-daughter, Graysen; brothers, Joe, Melvin, Willie, Charlie (Lisa), Henry (Deloris), Walter (Carolyn), and Frank; sisters, Ethel Mae (James), Eddie Mae (Chris), Dorothy (Larry), Loretta, and Nancy; one aunt, Josephine Echles; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Hall; one brother-in-law, David (Janet); sisters-in-law, Juanita, Rutha Lee, Janice, Mary, Linda, Barbara, and Deborah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
