Joseph Curtis Waterman, 43, Ponca City, formerly of Arkansas City, died Thursday (March 22, 2012) at the Ponca City Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (March 28, 2012) at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Joe was born January 2, 1969 in Arkansas City. He was reared and educated in Arkansas City graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1987 and Cowley College in 1989. Joe left Arkansas City in 1989 for Ponca City. Joe worked as a machinist for Cameron Machine Shop for several years. Survivors include his faithful companions/dogs Lucy and Ozzie; his parents of Ed and Cathy of Sedgwick, a sister Becky and her husband Darren Hibbs of Wichita; a brother Gary and his wife Nora Waterman of Ponca City; and many other relatives and friends including nieces and nephews Ashlee, A.J. and Emma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and aunt and uncle Helen and Lyburn Beard. A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are being made through the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com
