Josephine DiMattia Loncola, 70, of Stroudsburg and formerly of Taylor, died Wednesday at Easton Hospital, after a brief illness. Her husband Joseph died November 1988. Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Elizabeth McGarrity DiMattia. In 1957, she graduated from Taylor High School where she was a cheerleader and was selected o the Queens Court. Josephine graduated from Muhlenberg Hospital as Radiological Technologist and throughout her life worked for Dover General Hospital and retired in 2003 from Hackettstown Community Hospital, where she worked for many years. Her family, especially her grandchildren brought her much joy and happiness. She was a proud catholic daughter and a former parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor. Surviving are two daughters, Elisa Loncola, with whom she resided, and Angela Loncola, Tannersville; four grandchildren, Mariah and Joseph Hicks and Taylor and Robert Heh; her Aunt, Geraldine Ecke and two nephews and many cousins A brother James preceded her in death on June 5, 1994. The funeral will Saturday at 12:30 pm from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm in Divine Mercy Parish by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor.
