Joyce Panattoni Barker of Oakhurst, California passed on January 10, 2018 at the age of 72. She was born in San Jose, California to Oliver and Josephine (Chiaramonte) Panattoni on December 16, 1945.

Joyce was beloved wife to Grayden Barker for 21 years and was stepmother to Tiffany (Brian) Aske of Issaquah, WA and Robert (Nancy) Barker of La Jolla, CA. Loving sister to JoAnne (George) Bumb of San Jose, CA and late sister Carol (Russell) Weigel. She was also a devoted God-mother to George (Kimberly) Bumb III of San Jose, CA and Michele (Joshua) Armstrong of Gardnerville, NV. And she will be forever cherished by her many nieces, nephews and three step-grandchildren Ashlyn, Tristan and Aharon. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Josie and her sister Carol.

She attended elementary school at Saint Patrick's and then went on to attend high school at Notre Dame, graduating in 1963. In June of 1996 she married Grayden Barker. They had numerous interests that included the Elks, traveling and spoiling the grandkids as well as being avid SF Giants fans!

Joyce worked in administrative positions for Santa Clara County for over 30 years, ultimately retiring from First Five Child Care Agency. After her retirement, Joyce enjoyed visiting with her many friends and cousins and truly cherished all their friendships. Joyce and Grayden traveled to many places that included Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska and Italy to name a few. In her spare time Joyce enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren as well as with her nieces and nephews as much as she could.

Joyce's vivacious spirit, warm heart, sharp wit, and loving disposition placed her at the center of all her treasured friends and loved ones and for this she will be truly missed.

Viewing Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 11:00 am - 1:00 p.m. at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel: 710 Willow Street, San Jose. A Rosary will be said at 1:00 p.m. Reception following thereafter. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Athanasius Church: 1565 S. White Road, San Jose. Private interment will occur at a later date.
