Joyce Virginia Scoville, 88, of Cape Coral, FL, born in Washington, DC on January 15, 1932, left for her next journey on February 1, 2020. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Arthur and Goldie Ellen Williams, and brother, Stanley Williams. Joyce is survived by her husband of 66 years, John M. (Jack) Scoville, Sr. of Cape Coral; son John M. (Mark) Scoville, Jr.; son Gary Scoville; and daughter Janine Scoville. Joyce lived in Riverdale Heights, Maryland as a child and graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1950. Joyce and Jack were married in Hyattsville, Maryland, on February 26, 1954. While working full-time as a bookkeeper for more than 40 years, she was also the loving and devoted mother to her three kids. Once her children were grown, she showered more of her love on grandchildren Erin Clees (Mike), Kaitlyn Scoville, Joshua Scoville (Katie), and Justin Scoville. Great-grandchildren Xander, Olivia, Callie, Cassidy, and Amelia were next in line for Joyce's affection and adoration. Joyce enjoyed the beach and her favorite distractions included playing the slots at casinos, reading the latest supermarket tabloids to see what Hollywood stars were up to, and clothes shopping. Joyce's legacy will be her life-long sacrifices for, and generosity to, her family. To Joyce, family was everything, and family is what made her the happiest. Her kind heart, her laughter, and her love will be missed by everyone. Joyce requested that no services be held. Mullins Memorial Funeral Home in Cape Coral handled her cremation.
