Julia V. Ramirez, age 79, of Andice, Texas, passed away with her beloved family by her side. In the early hours of Saturday morning, March 17, 2012, Julia departed from her life on this earth and began her everlasting life with her Lord and Savior.

Her life journey began on December 22, 1932, a cold winter's day, in Andice, Texas. Her father, Rafael Vasquez and her mother, Nicolasa (Rangel) Vasquez were elated when she arrived, as Julia was one of nine blessings to the Vasquez household. When Julia was closing in on her twenty-second birthday, she married Gabriel Ramirez on September 29, 1954. Gabriel and Julia exchanged their wedding vows in Roby, Texas and from that day forward the two formulated a love that was admired by many. Julia thoroughly enjoyed being a mother and raising their three sons. She filled her days with selfless service for the betterment of her family and her community. She and Gabriel spent the best part of 50 years together, before Gabriel passed on. Julia missed him immensely, but knew he went to prepare their places in heaven and that she would see him again. Julia was a faithful member of the Santa Rosa Catholic Church, in Andice, Texas. Julia's kind, caring and sweet nature will be often thought of, and she will be held close to the hearts of those who knew her for all the days to come.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Ramirez; her parents, Rafael and Nicolasa Vasquez; her sisters: Francisca Ceballos, Angelita Lopez, Manuela Puga, Thomasita Ramirez, Nocolasa Solis and Julia Vasquez; her brothers: Pedro Vasquez and Gilbert Vasquez.

To cherish her memory, Julia leaves her loving family; son, Gabriel Ramirez Jr. and wife Olivia of Cedar Creek, Texas; son, Rudy Ramirez and wife Dianna of Andice, Texas; son Ruben Ramirez of Pflugerville, Texas; three grandsons, five granddaughters, six great grandsons, two great granddaughters and one on the way.

Serving as pallbearers includes: Rudy Ramirez Jr., Gabriel Ramirez, Michael Ramirez, James Ramirez, Jonathan Ramirez, Jacob Ramirez, David Campos, and Vincent Campos. Honorary pallbearers will be Vincent Ramirez and Jesse Ramirez.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. with the rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Andice, Texas. Burial will follow at the Santa Rosa Cemetery in Andice.
