Pollak, J. Edward, 88, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2017. He was preceded to heaven by his wife Elisa M. Pollak, and is survived by his son Douglas Pollak of Midlothian, VA, daughter Donna Jeye of Santa Rosa, CA, and son Daniel Pollak of Leesburg, VA. and their spouses, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Ed was a life-long Lutheran and while in Virginia was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church (Richmond) and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (Midlothian). He was born January 9, 1929, in New York, NY. He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean conflict. The family moved to New Jersey where they lived until Ed's retirement. He and Elisa moved to Richmond in 1991. He is known by many as one of the Courtesy Baggers at the former Ukrops store at Sycamore Square in Midlothian, where he always worked with a smile and a great laugh.
A memorial service will be held at the Virginia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Amelia County, VA early in 2018.
