Katherine "Kay" Wicker, 96, of Portland passed away Nov. 1, 2017. She was born Nov. 3, 1920 to Frederick Laudwein and Frances Maloney in Spokane. She was raised with three siblings. Most people knew Katherine either as Kay or Babe. Professionally she spent 10 years working for the Great Northern Railroad and over 30 years as a secretary at C. Gerard "Jebbie" Davidson attorney at law. Kay was married to Glenn Wicker and together they raised three daughters until his passing in March of 1979. Reading, gardening, sewing, golfing and traveling were just a few of the many things Kay enjoyed. Detail oriented, careful with her money and great with finances were additional qualities that she embodied. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her parents; and siblings, Bob and Virginia. She is survived by her daughters, Shanon, Erin (Sada) and Kerry; sister, Mary; grandchildren, Jeff (Annie), Grace, Lillian and Katy. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, love of gardening and her dedication to her faith and family. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 7007 S.W. 46th Ave., Portland, OR 97219.
