Kenneth "Jim" "Red" Rogers of Big Rock, passed away at the age of 93 but had the spirit of a teenager on Friday, September 28, 2018. He was born August 6, 1925 in Aurora, son of the late Chester and Frances (Goble) Rogers.

Jim served in the United States Army during WWII as a Private First Class. Jim had a true love for animals but especially horses and often talked about his time on the Kane County Mounted Patrol with his beloved horse, Billy Joe.

He enjoyed retirement with his beloved wife, dogs, horse farm and was often found sitting and looking at the farm he created with pride and love. He enjoyed visiting his Army buddies at the VFW and even the barber shop.

Jim and Lois loved to travel with the "Funtimers" club and talked often about their trips especially the one to Hawaii.

He had an incredible sweet tooth and was known for his candy stash and always had room for dessert!
