Kenneth Polivka, age 85 passed away on Thursday December 21, 2017. Kenneth was born October 23, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois.
Beloved husband of 54 years to the late Camille (nee Deleonardis); loving father of Bill and Patricia (David) Erce; devoted grandfather of Dr. Bryan (Calli) Erce and Andrea (Richard) Wehunt; proud great-grandfather of Leighton and Lucas; dear brother-in-law of Ruth, Sue, the late Anne Marie, Angeline, Della and Irene; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Kenneth's sharp wit and infectious personality brightened countless hearts. He was an avid sportsman and sports fan; loved to read, business, politics and Civil War. He was involved in the steel business where as young man started out as a purchasing agent and worked his way up to a National Sales Manager and eventually his own small business.

Longtime resident of Stickney served the village as well as Stickney Township as a Trustee and Assessor, most recently as Police and Fire Commissioner. He was also a member of the Illinois State Crime Commission and former Knight of Columbus.

Visitation Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 2 to 8 pm at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Ave. Stickney, IL 60402. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10 am at St. Pius X Church 4300 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402. Entombment will follow at Mount Auburn Memorial Park.
