PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) is the legacy this great man is leaving behind to all who encountered him.
Charles Kevin Moore entered eternal life on Friday, September 8, 2017 after a hard fight against heart disease. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Kevin during his 70 years, among them include: always see the good in everything around you, it's better to give than to receive, live life to the fullest and with no regrets, smile always, say hello to everyone "or better yet, top of the day to you", make time for holiday-everyday, having a sense of humor is key, forgive always and often, don't worry about the minutia and the most important of all and a character trait he exemplified every single day of his life was having an infectious positive mental attitude in everything he did.
Kevin's story starts on February 6, 1947 where he was born in Troy, New York. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1964 where he excelled at basketball and won the 17th Annual Voice of Democracy Contest his senior year. He also met his late wife Sharon Ann Moore and later married after college. Kevin went on to attend Albany State University of New York where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1969 and went on to earn a CPA certification from Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, The Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1972.
He went on to have a successful career in O&G, beginning at Price Waterhouse, and later moving on to help Doug Gayle form Sue-Ann Oil and Gas Company in 977. There he served as CFO until 1981. In 1982 Kevin formed KEAS Applications Inc. where they developed and marketed O&G accounting software for small to mid-sized operators.
Kevin's passions included golf, political channels, helping others and above all a devoted loving husband, father, papa and friend.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents James and Elizabeth Moore; his sister, Kathryn Elizabeth (Moore) Pinto-"Kay" and his late wife Sharon Ann Moore.
His spirit is carried on by his adored wife of 20 years, Patricia Kay Cantrell; son, Jason Moore; daughter, Amy Moore, and granddaughter, Brittney Delacruz; niece Elizabeth Ann Pinto, son, Charles Cook and his sons Joshua and Adam Cook; daughter, Tami Cook Davis and her daughters Ailey ad Alaina Davis; and many special friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
