Kirke Evans Hatfield, 79, of Belle Plaine, KS passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. He was born in Wichita on April 20, 1938 to Clarence and Alta (Evans) Hatfield Jr. Kirke was a graduate of Wichita High School North and attended the Spartan Aeronautical College. In 1980, he married Eileen Parks. He was the owner of Kirke's Import Parts, Auto Industrial Warehouse, and Red Barn Obsolete Parts. Kirke had a life-long interest in car restoration (particularly Fords), Cushman scooters, and aircraft. He had an extensive, historical knowledge of all three. Kirke was a member of the Kansas Cushman Club and the Ford Thunderbird Club for many years. He took pride in the fact that he helped with the restoration of "Doc", the Boeing B-29 Superfortress in Wichita.
Preceded in death by his wife; both parents; his sister, Joan and husband Don Henrichs; and his stepson, Don Parks. Kirke is survived by his stepsons, Earl Dupree (Doris) of Decatur, TX, Steve Parks of Wichita, and Jim Parks (Donna) of Potsdam, NY, daughter-in-law Janis Parks, Wichita; step-grandchildren, Tim (Michelle) Parks, Wichita, David Parks, Ft. Worth, TX, Jennifer Parks, Wichita, Donata Parks, Kingman, AZ, William Parks, San Francisco, CA and Julie Parks, Dallas, TX; a niece, Kay Henrichs Gibson, Maize, KS; two nephews, Kurt Henrichs, Wichita, and Kim (Dee) Henrichs, Lawrence, KS; great nieces, Ashley Gibson, Charlotte, NC, and Jordon Henrichs, Wichita; great nephews, Ethan (Katie) Gibson, Derby, KS, Logan Henrichs, Kansas City, MO, and Connor Henrichs, Lawrence, KS. A private graveside service was held at Glen Elder City Cemetery.
