Lula RaMona Parks (Stamper) was born on December 26, 1929 in Optima, Oklahoma. She passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Russell, KS at the age of 88. She was the daughter of Howard & Irene Stamper of Optima, Oklahoma.

RaMona graduated from high school in 1948 from Guymon, Oklahoma. During this time, she was a Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls in Guymon, Oklahoma. She then attended the Secretarial school in Amarillo, Texas. She worked for The City National Bank of Guymon, OK and from there she moved to Liberal Kansas and worked for Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline Company.

This is where she met and fell in love with her husband, George S. Parks. She married George S. Parks on March 21, 1954. They were married for 61 years. He passed away January 29, 2013. RaMona was a housewife and together they had 3 children, Denise K. Mai (Neil) of Ponca City, Oklahoma; James H. Parks of Austin, Texas and Mary Louise Boxberger (John) of Russell, KS.

She was a Mother Advisor for the Jobs Daughters in Salina, KS. She served as a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Salina, KS. RaMona was an amazing mother in so many ways. She was someone who always put others first in every aspect.

January 13, 2017 RaMona moved into Homestead of Russell, an assisted living facility. This was an amazing place to live.

Survivors are her three children, eight grandchildren, Audrey Rynerson (Casey), Kurt Sieker (Jessica), Nathan Mai, Heather Kokubun, Danielle Christensen (Miles), LeAnna Millen (Daniel), Andrew Mai (Kimberleigh) and Damien Parks and 4 great-grandchildren, Parker Rynerson, Carter Rynerson, Brynley Rynerson and Ellyott Sieker. Nieces are Leiloni Hall (Rick) of Tulsa, OK, Micah Gately (James) of Dallas, TX.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, with the family present 5:00 to 7:00 at the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E Crawford, Salina. Funerall services will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 308 S. Eighth St, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorials to The First Presbyterian Church of Salina (308 S 8th, Salina, KS 67401) or Homestead of Russell (1070 E. Wichita Ave. Russell, KS 67665).
