LaVelle Jellick, a Prineville resident passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Hospice House in Bend. She was 80 years of age.

At her request no public services will be held.

LaVelle was born in Baker, Oregon on June 14, 1931 to Luther Adnirom & Ora Lee (Ellis) Spivey. She was raised in Baker, and attended grade school and graduated from Baker High School. She met her husband of 58 years Mark Mathew Jellick in Kinzua, Oregon; they married a year later in Goldendale, WA., on June 20, 1953. LaVelle worked at the factory as a grader and many other positions in Kinzua for thirteen years and retired. Her and Mark moved to Prineville in 1976 where she raised her children and helped raise her grandchildren while her daughter worked.

LaVelle loved her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. When she was younger she enjoyed bowling, golfing and always loved the slot machines. She will be missed greatly by her husband and all of her family and friends.

LaVelle is survived by her husband Mark M. Jellick of Prineville daughter; Kathy Brinkley & her husband James of Prineville, brothers; Roy Spivey of Salem, Oregon, and Henry Spivey of Baker City, Oregon. Sister; Blanche Pearce of Derkee, Oregon, four grandchildren Stephanie McKelvy, Jeff Brinkley, Brent Brinkley and Jennifer Lilze also 6 great grandchildren Justine and Tayden Brinkley, Trenton and Parker Brinkley, and Aspen and Easton Greene

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son; Dennis June 3, 2001.
