Lanora Mae (Clark) Crowder, 75, beloved wife of William Thomas Crowder, Jr., of Waynesboro passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 after a long illness.
Born April 6, 1944 in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Roy Alvin and Dorothy Mae (Newcomer) Clark.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Scott Crowder and a brother, Charles Marcus Daniels, Jr.
In addition to her husband of 51 years, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas Dean Crowder and wife, Kimberly Anne Crowder of Westminster, MD; a daughter and son-in-law, Joelle Crowder Miller and Matthew Bedford Miller of Staunton; four grandchildren, Logan Christopher Miller, Jacob Christopher Crowder, Ellen Mae Miller and Emma Anne Crowder and her sister, Ann Clark Proctor and husband, Francis of Cascade, CO.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 S. Wayne Ave., Waynesboro with the Rev. Paul Pingel officiating.
At Lanora's request, in lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorial donations in her memory to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Thanksgiving and Memorial Fund, 500 S. Wayne Ave., Waynesboro, VA 22980.
